I lose my left sidebar when I update to concrete version 5.6.1.2.

The page type or handle is left_sidebar. I end up trying to restore from the MOST recente backup, but only end up having to remove this piece of code: <?php define('DIRNAME_APP_UPDATED', 'concrete5.6.1.2');?> (I believe this is a seperate issue)
from www/config/site.php in order to gain back my sidebar.
