I want to remove the sidebar?

Hi, I'm currently in the process of redesigning a website for the local town hall, and i want to incorporate a good, user friendly CMS. Basically, i want to copy the current "design" into the template. It is the same throughout the site. If that is not possible, can someone please tell me how to remove the annoying sidebar thing on the right that comes with the free designs? Probably something i have missed but anyhow the help would be useful.

I'm on a time schedule so a fast response would be very much appreciated

Email me at malloyj@btinternet.com for the web address, or if you think you can help me

many thanks Joe

On the themes that come with C5, there are various page types. Perhaps working with one of those, you can try creating a new page and using the "full" page type. That may solve your problem.

When mapping an existing design to C5, typically the header content is static and is placed in the header.php. For additional work, content flows from top to bottom as in the document flow. So, determining the columns containing content is key. Once columns are defined, an indefinite number of content blocks can be added. The layout then can be implemented. Grid 960 does give a straightforward approach to implementation. Working manually does require some basic knowledge of CSS and PHP.

If you need more flexibility, a modest investment in a paid theme may be a good bet.
