I want to use my page as a Template

Hi, I have created a home page for what is going to be a multi-page sitewww.www.mcinallyphotography.co.uk/developer... and want to have that page replicate every time I click add page.

I have created this homepage using.png images and using the "design" tool setting rows and column.

I have also edited the footer.php so I get what you see.

I have edited the header.php to achieve what I want (not necessarily the correct way for multiple page adding)
I've also edited the main.css to take out various parts not needed.
With the exception of the rolling photos and the latin text the rest is standard throught.

Any help would be great.

The best way I know to do this is to edit your page types in “Page Themes/Page Types”, select the appropriate page type “default” and edit the page. The advantage of doing in the page default is that if you make a change, all pages using that page type will change with your edits. These global changes will only occur if that page type (after edits) was used when adding the page.

If you are not aware, you can also use the global scrapbook containing any key page elements (blocks) when pasting blocks onto another page. When you change a global block created from the global scrapbook, all other blocks used in conjunction with will change. Should not be confused with the admin scrapbook, it is not global. You could also copy pages (other than home page) in the site map, but editing one page will not change another.

You may also want to consider moving your background graphics into your CSS, versus putting on each page.

Hope this helps!

Oops! You can not do design layouts in default page types which is probably why you have not done.
