Improving the Sitemap in Dashboard

Ok, so I think the sitemap section of the dashboard is pretty cool. However, I was hoping that you could easily rearrange pages there and have that effect the menu navigation throughout the site.

Right now, it appears the only way you can customize the way the top navigation is laid out is to edit the "Date" area of each top level page, then edit the top nav menu to display items based on "earliest created" or "most recent".

Having a sitemap section that allows you to drag and drop pages wherever you want would be the absolute ideal here.

If there is another way to do that currently, I just don't know about it. I am missing something?

You can drag and drop pages in the sitemap if you grab the little handle to their left.

Drop them between pages to change sort order.

Drop them on a new parent to copy/move.

You do have to make sure navigations on your site are setup to sort by "sort order" and not "chronological".. but that's all.

Wow, you can do that. That's cool, yeah I had been trying to do that and it wasn't working and I didn't see any other controls so I just figured things didn't work that way. I got the hang of it now though.

Thanks
