Including files in search results

I have several dozen pdfs that I've added through the file manager and am displaying on pages uses the document library block. My question is if it is possible to include the titles of these pdfs in concrete's main search function.

For example I have a pdf titled "Identity Theft" - if someone search for those keywords nothing is displayed. Does anyone know a way to include them?

it may be a little time consuming, but you could make a separate page to hold each file

My initial estimate of a couple dozen was off, there's 100+, so I'm not sure that creating a new page for each is a realistic option. Can you think of any other work arounds?

What about a page that index's all files that don;t end in jpg, jpeg, gif, png, tiff, the image files and maybe swf as well, like the members page but always hidden and is indexed

I assume you do not want to "tag" each file upload with the documents title? Could you set a protocol with those who upload that the document itself has to have a title tag in it - which then it is a question of whether the pdf tag can populate into the Concrete5 tag. Haven't tried it, just theorizing here.

Same issue.

My root directory holds dozens of PDFs which need to be searched.

For now, Yahoo search is serving the purpose, but I would prefer a search results page that didn't have "Yahoo!" emblazoned on the page and looked like it was part of my site.

I could add some code to the image-file search package (http://inneroptics.net/concrete5/image-file-search... ) so that it indexes the contents of the PDF files if you'd be willing to pay for the time it would take (3-4 hours). The PDFs would have to be added to the asset library though, but concrete has a bulk importer that makes that easy. if you're interested contact me through my profile.

We have a large selection of pdf forms for our intranet that I'd like to see in the results of a search, along with the relevant pages. Is this possible?
