Insert link to file manager asset

you say you can do this but HOW? If I link to page, it's just a list of page. If I click on the link button, I have to give URL. How to I just get to the pick list in file manager? I'm a newbit, so pardon the stupid question. Your system is not intuitive unless you've used it before.

Use the "Add File" menu option in the Content Block.

Or
If you need to get the URL for an item in File Manager, click the icon of the item you want > select "Properties" and copy the URL that is then displayed.

ok, that's what I did, I just thought there was a more elegant method...it's kind of bad that way because I'm building the website on one server and will have to "move it" I think....so every link will be broken I guess.

If you're linking through the C5 interface, C5 automatically adjusts to different server environments. So, if you use the "Add File" option, a relative path is generated prefixed with a function which determines the pathing on that server.

Hi!
Every system has to be learnt a bit before it is used. The difference is how long and how hard it takes to be productive, and I think that c5 is one of the quickest and easiest. And I have worked on many CMS before, so I can compare.

Just my opinion.
