Installation problem

I’m trying to install C5 and I keep getting the message “Unable to connect to database.” I have contacted the host for help but after a few offers of advice they said that they are unable to help me and to contact C5 and ask them if they can produce a work-around or use one of their CMS’s provided (which I don’t want to do). I’m sure that this isn’t necessary and it is something that I am doing wrong. The my sql database setup is different from the one I used before (when I setup C5 on my own web space) so I don’t know if I have done anything wrong on the setup and as there isn’t a walkthrough I can’t find out. There is an option to upload my own database but I have no my sql experience so am unable to do it that way.

yeah concrete5 is going to require a mysql database of its own to run. Its not the hardest thing in the world to setup, but in general yeah concrete5 is a bit more demanding of your server environment than some other systems, its just doing a lot more..

If your current host can't play ball, we'll happily host your site for $15/month:

Thanks Frz

I'm only the middle man so I can't ok any hosting but I'll pass the info on. I'm gonna have another bash with the database for now but having no experience makes it very daunting!
