Installing with Yahoo Small Business

I've downloaded Concrete5 v5.4.1 and have uploaded the concrete5 folder onto the FTP, I made sure that the config folder was set to CHMOD 777 as well that the files folder.
I was able to create a MySQL username & password with a new database. The new database is called c5db and has the default tables like: columns_priv, db, func, host, tables_priv, & users. Everything looks good thus far I even made sure in the Privileges tab that the "User" (just as an example) I created has the correct permissions, "SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, CREATE, DROP".
So far so good, I go to the site url where I installed Concrete5 and states, "Install Concrete". Everything in the left column checks out green for the testing required items. So I continue filling in the information to the right for the Personal Information & the Database Information.
If under the Server I put: "localhost" is states it is unable to connect to database. Now if I put in the site's url and click next I go to:http://thisismysite'surl.com/index.php/install/-/configure/... <-- it's a blank page and nothing is on it. If I reload it I get the same thing... if I go back to the directory where Concrete5 is installed on it I'm back to it asking for me to "Install Concrete" with all of the fields blank.
Grrr... FRUSTRATING. Am I missing something? This n00b needs help. :(
