Is it possible to remove this generated div which surrounds all blocks?

Yes, this is bothering me too. Seems to be added when adding custom styles, but removing them does not remove the wrapper and there seems no way to do so.
Although this discussion was made a long time ago, I was able to track down what is the cause.
I just started a discussion on GitHub to fix this.
My fix is premature, so I hope I can proceed with the discussion, and resolve the issue.

OK FYI,
They've already fixed at 5.7.4.2.
Sorry about that...
But I needed to clear custom style at each custom template assigned blocks by going through custom template & design menu.
