Landing Page

Hi,

Brand new to C5. I've set up some wordpress sites before and want to try out C5 to see which is easier.

I am working with a client and used dreamhost.com's one click install to install C5, but I had it install in a subfolder under the named concrete5.

Now the URL points to the folder, not the main one:www.www.mytrucklube.com/concrete5.... How do I get the main page to be inhttp://www.mytrucklube.com, not in the concrete5 subdirectory?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The best and safest way (in my opinion) is to simply do a fresh install in the root directory (www.yourwebsite.com). You'll want to delete the other installation.

If you're using a one-click install, make sure you have selected the root folder.

If you have multible pages on your website and have access to the server's vhost, simply lead the vhost for your domain into the sub-diractory where you installed concrete.

I don't know dreamhost, so you might want to ask their support, if vhosts are possible.

I tried to do the concrete5 install on dreamhost with the one-click.

The issue I ran into is that it wouldn't let me use the root folder is it's not empty (I have a wordpress blog so there is a folder for a subdirectory). So, it has forced me to make another folder just like posted above. I also named it concrete5.

I want the concrete5 page to be my landing page. Should I see about doing a manual install instead? Or is there a way to copy it over and make it my landing page appropriately?
