Limit number of blocks a stack outputs

In one of my theme's PHP files I want to display the top 5 blocks in a stack. Is that possible? Ideally I could then create a 'view all' link that brings the user to a separate page that simply outputs that same stack without a limit.

Not sure if it will allow you to pick how many stacks, but it's free and worth a shot--may even be able to do a custom template and get 5. Here's the message thread I found this addon on in:

I think Flight643 wants to display 5 individual blocks from the stack.

You can actually grab just the blocks you want out of the stack as of 5.6. When you 'Add Stack' you can chose the 5 blocks from the stack and then add a link to a page with the entire stack.
