Link to external website from dynamically generate link

So basically I've built a block that does some calculations and generates a google maps link from that then displays it.
The problem is that concrete5 is redirecting that link to the local website. How can I do that, all the posts I found on here just talk about static links added through the editor?
I did disable all the navigation options in the custom properties and that didn't fix it.
