Linking External Form results with User profiles

Hi,

I don't know if this is do-able but is it possible to link external form results a user has submitted to their profile?

What I mean is that on my site a user would submit scores for any given gameweek. At the moment I have an autoresponder mail kicked back to their e-mail address to let them know what they submitted for future reference. What I am looking for now is that the scores submitted are attached to his profile when he logs on so he knows that he has already submitted scores and can see what he has submitted?

Thanks

Barry

Hi Barry,

ProForms can do this.

The autoresponder part is easy.

The Profile part, you simply create a page in your sitemap under the profile page (show system pages) , then go add the ProForms list block, setting it to search that form, and only show results for the currently viewing user.

If you want that users results viewable by other users as well, you will need to create a custom block view and set the controller file to conditionally set the $u var as the $profile user instead of the currently viewing user.

I can help you with that part if it's even needed . Just put in a support ticket.

Hi Radiantweb,

I already have an external form so I have no need for the ProForms as I believe it doesn't have the required format I need which is four columns in one line in a form with multiple lines.

What I need is a way for the current external form I have to project onto the user profile. This would change every week but I would need the historical data to be maintained so that they could refer back any time they wished. Is this possible?

Also with standard forms in Concrete5, is it possible to do without getting Proforms?

Thanks

Barry
