Looking for a detailed package tutorial

I'm looking for a detailed tutorial on packages that includes:

1) creating a page in the dashboard
a) proper style for inserting/updating a db etc from within the dashboard
2) creating single_pages
3) adding blocks to a theme on installation
4) adding content to certain blocks on installation

Anyone know of a page that details these?
