Lost Admin Permissions

Somehow I have lost my admin permissions to search other users and view pages in the sitemap amongst other things. Don't know how this happened, it all used to be happy families. Anyway, I'm locked out through the interface but have db access. How can I set the admin user to have admin permissions on everything again?
