Make page a menu pulldown only

What do I need to do to make a page available only as a menu option but not available for direct access? For example, I have may a home page menu item called About Us. Under About Us could be Directions, Contact Us and Principals. I want users to be able to mouse-over About Us and see the sub-page options but not access the About US page if clicked.
