Manage sitewide meta-data

Is there a way you can update a page's metadata on a sitewide basis - similar to how you can manage the defaults in Page Types?

If there isn't, I'm going to build it - just want to make sure I'm not repeating work.

You could search for all pages of a certain type, select all of them, and then bulk edit their page properties using the properties option in the dropdown menu in Sitemap > Page Search

Many pages on my site have been created without keywords. I selected all of these pages in Sitemap > Page search, edited their keywords and clicked the pencil icon to save. The keywords were successfully saved for those pages, but when viewing the code for each of those pages, the keywords do not appear in the meta data. However, if I place each page into edit mode, then exit edit mode, and then view source, the keywords are now there.

It seems the page properties are being saved, but the last version of the page is not being updated.

Any thoughts?
