Members Page is not showing up in Superfish Drop Down Navigation
Permalink 1 user found helpful
I just added Superfish and downloaded and installed correctly but for some reason my Members page isn't showing up in the Navigation. Anyone know why?
Yes it did appear on the auto nav before I added it and no i have excluded for the navigation. Anything t help you locate the problem?
Well...
I assume you mean you have NOT excluded it from the navigation, right? :-) And if you reset the navigation to the standard version without Superfish, the members page shows up correctly, right?
Without seeing it - it could still be anything from your theme conflicting with the addon or some superfish-specific setting (e.g. in the superfish block setup, there should be a checkbox for "Viewing permissions -> Display pages to users even when user cannot access those pages") that prevents the members page from being shown.
Maybe it's better to directly ask the core team for support, simply go to http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/superfish/... and click on "Support" in the right sidebar menu.

you're right about both instances. so does that give you an idea of what it could be?
Sorry, I was hoping it was one of those reasons because then I probably would have been able to help in some way, but now I'm at a loss since I don't have that addon and cannot reproduce the error on my own pages (and without that I can only guess, as you can see from my questions).
Therefore I would encourage you to turn to the people who made that addon and really can provide support, like I wrote in my previous post.
Again, sorry. But it would be great if you posted a solution when you hopefully have one, so that others might find this thread helpful -- thanks in advance.
Good luck and regards!

Figured it out. Basically the problem comes from the members page being considered a "System Page" and by default superfish excludes system pages. The default concrete5 autonav makes a special exception for the members page.
The easiest way would be to add an external link named Members that points to your members page by going to the dashboard > sitemap, clicking on the home page and then clicking Add External Link - Name "Members" url: - the link to your /members page.

Great! That sounds fairly easy to do.
Thanks for posting this hint!

Did the members page show up in your nav before installing superfish?
Did you set the "exclude from auto-nav" attribute? (Have you signed in into your member account? ;-))
Sorry for adding more questions and no answer, but maybe we can track down the problem.
Cheers!
