Menu not working on tablets
Permalink
Hi,
I have been working on thishttp://www.strategiccareadvice.co.uk/... and when you view it on a tablet (iPad or Droid) the menu doesn't function properly. The menu has drop downs but you can't get to them. This is because when you click the top nav it just takes you to that page and not opens the sub menu.
On a desktop you roll over and it expands but you can't do roll over on a tablet.
Can anyone help me.
Tim

Will the new superfish do it
Hi Tim,
Did you repair this issue? Your menu functions predictably on both my Android phone (Evo) and my tablet (Google Nexus). I compared the navigation functions to my desktop and they respond the same for linking to the dropdown - child pages.

I haven't repair anything yet. The issue I have is that its very hard to navigate as you can't do rollovers on tablets.
What I would like is if the first tap on the top nav opened the sub menu and the second click takes you to the page.

Yes, the first tap to open menu and second tap to child page works on my devices for your website. Could it be more of a function of duration of the tap rather than the actual tap itself?
PS. It may be extreme to replace your menu in the theme but if you do, I have had exceptional luck using Mega menu from the marketplace. Mobile and tablet response have been great using this on my sites.

On my nexus and iPad the first touch does pull up the sibnav but also starts to take you to the page in top nav.
So this isn't working right.
