Menu won't link to pages - 404 error

I have taken all the directories out of concrete5.6 directory on my web server ready to go live. Deleted the html holding page.

Menu items have correct (relative) addresses when I checked their properties through the editor.

Any ideas please?

How do I make a site live by keeping all the directories in C5 directory? I tried it but the browser couldn't find the index.php file.

Go to dashboard->System & Settings->Pretty URL
Then disable it and clear your cache. Then re enable it. If you are using the auto-nav block, then it will automatically work.

Thanks Rony. Worked! I have cleared cache but hadn't switched off pretty urls.

I had read somewhere that adding or altering a line in the config is sometimes necessary but can't remember where I saw that.
