Migrating from one theme to another

I'm new to C5. I used the default theme to build my site. It's ok but it is a bit stark. Is it possible to migrate the site to a new theme or do I just have to build it over again in the new theme? It's not that a complex site, so I wouldn't mind rebuilding it, but I'm curious about this. Thanks!

Yes, Concrete allows you to either apply a theme to each page individually, or apply to the entire site.

No matter what theme you use, your content will always be stored. Depending on what theme you use, your content may appear differently.

In some cases, a theme may have different areas from the theme you're using now. If it does, your content may not show up.

For the most part, most themes have two main areas: "Sidebar" and "Main". If a theme does not have these areas, the content will not be displayed.

So, in short... your best bet is to put all your content into the "main" and / or "sidebar" areas. This way, when you change the theme, the content will be displayed, and you can re-arrange it as you see fit.

Hope that helps.
