Missing block variables on GoDaddy server
Permalink
Having a VERY strange issue here - in fact, I've never had this issue before with C5. I have a client that has hosting on GoDaddy. It's a small site so I didn't really put up a stink about it. The migration went relatively smooth (except the fact that GoDaddy is terrible) with only a few minor issues that I was able to work around. However, I am noticing one problem that is very strange and was wondering if I could get some insight.
I have a block that sets variables in the controllers on_page_view method and within the view method. When the site was in its dev. environment all these variables are set probably and can be displayed in the view. However, on GoDaddy they have vanished. Does anyone have ANY idea as to why? I've also used the same block on different installations of C5 on different servers and all works well - so I'm not so sure it's the block. I'm thinking it might be something with GoDaddy. I also noticed that for every change to the view code for the block I have to clear the site's cache - even if update the C5 settings for the page to block lives on - to not cache the page. Very strange.
Any insight would be great. Thanks for your time!
