Hi People,

I am a keen Concrete5 Designer, and have a number of sites, all of which are mobile friendly.

No that the world has gone APP mad.. I would like to start creating app version of the sites on the stores.

My 1st project on this will be a simple Android app which I need to communicate with the concrete5 Database(live-site) To update 1 products details (ecommerse project).

I can build and style the android App to match the site design. My Problems?

1. Communication with the concrete5 Site to link/download images text from the live site to the App>

2. Stock Control and Checkout which is managed through the concrete5 Ecommerse add-on. Paypal really so all i need it to do is tell concrete5 when an order is done to remove the stock etc.

3. A live app so will require an internet connection but also a check to the database to see if up-to-date, when connected.

4. A timer/count down which is live linked to the same counter on the web site.


Now I can build a custom Database which can communicate with both concrete5 and the app, so as not to use the concrete5 Database to stop traffic build up etc.


What I need to know is can this be done with concrete5 and ecommerse or will I need to use a more Ecommerse style solution like Magento which has app access with push for native notification functions.

So has any one made an app which works with a concrete5 web site is my question?
