modifying page list

on my homepage i have an "upcoming events" list which basically spits out the 5 earliest "calendar_event" page types based on public date. however, i need it to display the 5 earliest pages from today. so, today is october 12th--it wouldn't display any of the pages created before that date. i thought using the template i could just compare the date to today but it still takes the old pages into the count. so if i had one page before october 12th, it would show 4 events on the homepage.

any ideas?

will it be able to pull certain page types from certain folders based on public date?

i.e. i have a calendar_event page type in three different folders. it will find all of them and put them in a list together based on date (as long as its newer than today).

if not, i still need help.

yes, does this.

It's just a list block and an event block.

You add an event to any page content. Including allday check box, start-end date, start-end time, recurring by day-week-month, location, contact, contact email, description, and event address with google map directions link.

The list block will pull all events into one list. there are two views, a front page bare list, and a custom template view with more details. both are CSS controlled and can easily be modified.

I am having issues getting the iCal output to play nice, so initial release will not include iCal support.

again, it's just a simple event list block. no calendar view.

see attached images.

Did you accomplish what you were looking to do? I am basically looking for something similar - just a modified page list that displays the next event (page) based on the date.

Any help you can give would be appreciated!
