Multiple Zoom Image Blocks on a page

I'd like to know how I go about getting multiple zoom image blocks on a single page. I have a need for several images in a row. I'm using a single column layout for the site.
Maybe my question is: How do I get a page with arbitrary block 'slots' on it. I'm thinking of a 3x3 or 3x2 or 4x3 grid sort of arrangement. Each cell of this grid would have a zoom image block in it.
Or is there a way to modify the zoom image block to allow for this sort of multiple image configuration.

What you can do is this:
modify the css, add "float:left" to all the zoom images.
After the zoom image blocks, add a html block and add something like:
