Nav and Header have disappeared

I attempted to make a new pafe type with no header or nav on it, and succeeded in removing the header (site name) and nav on every page.
This makes the site rather difficult to get around in.
Any help?

How did you create this new page type ? also can you change your current pages to use a different type . It sounds like you have created the new page type without $this->inc('elements/header.php');

I created the new page typw by going to Dashboard>Page Types>Add a Page Type
I can change my current pages to use a different page type, however all page types exhibit this same issue.
If I look at the code for the various page types, they all include the incl code
