Nav bars and Pages
Permalink
Hello Everyone- first off I am EXTREMELY new to the whole make my own website thing. I've spent hours on this one with hardly anything accomplished :( A big problem I have is that I have created a lot of new pages (contact, Photos, Services) and the only one that shows up on the home's screen's Navigation Bar is Photos. Also on the home screen's nav bar is "member" (which I never created) and "Home" (which I would Like to change to "Welcome" how can I change the word home to welcome, delete the link to member and get the contact and services pages to show up?
Also is there a way to reduce the size of images for a slide show. The pics I uploaded is way to big to be seen clearly on the screen.
and What exactly are attributes?
Thank you for any much needed assistance!

Let's see:
The pages that don't show up have either their attribute "Exclude from nav" checked (this is under Page Properties) or reside at a level in the sitemap that isn't covered by your auto-nav block.
Your sitemap should look similar to this:
and not like this:
Reducing the size of images: Try to do that in Photoshop or your preferred app before uploading them to your website, I'm not sure that you can resize them in the dashboard or file manager.
Attributes: Not the best topic for a starter. Have a look at this howto http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/developers/create-a-... and see what you can make of it. But I suppose it'd be better to save this for later. ;-)
HTH + regards,
