When I originally built the site (built is too a strong word -- when I originally crawled through the installation of the site), I got rid of the navigation bar because I didn't plan to have anything but a home page. Now I would like to add a navigation bar, but every time I try, the headings become embedded in the banner photo and are barely visible.

How would I go back to a plain horizontal navigation bar on a white background that sits below the banner photo?
