Navigation -- apply same settings to all pages

Hello,
I came across Concrete5 by accident and am in the process of building my first site on it. It is a perfect CMS, thank you.

I built a template from scratch and am having a problem with my navigation. I'd like it to display the subpages for a the appropriate section you are viewing. I see how you can edit the block and change it there, but is there a way to set it to do this across the entire theme?

Even when I think I set it right for the block, it will only show subpages if I say "display all."

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

JC

goto your dashboard
pagetypes
defaults

edit the page through there, and you're making blocks that will show up on every new instance of that page.

want to create a block and add it to existing pages? make it in defaults, click it again, and there should be an option in the menu to copy it out to all pages of that type

That was exactly what I was looking for...I couldn't find that in the docs.

I go to Pagetype defaults I get to the edit page.
But then when i go to edit there are no editable regions?
If I go to the page and edit each page individually they are there though?
Any reason y?

I too am very new and find concret5 quite easy to use.I've started building my site but I'm a bit stuck at navigation pages.I added a new parent page and a child page.I want to use the navigation buttons to move through all the following child pages in that parent category.

After a bit of playing with the subpages I finally managed to link the parent page to the next page(I think) but the following error appeared at the bottom of the child page.

Error: Invalid confirmation code. Try copying the confirmation link from your email and pasting it into the address bar of your browser.

Sorry if I'm being a bit dim on this one as I said I'm new to this. Can you point me in the right direction?
