I have this idea and I wonder if a) something like it has been done and b) any thoughts on approaching the coding?

For starters... the site I am using for this is running advanced security. I have some content available to everyone and I have other content available only to members of certain groups... all works perfectly.

I would like to add a method that will allow users to enter a code that has been assigned to them into a form field. When the user submits the form... it will add them to the group that particular code activates. Hope that makes sense.

I know there are a lot of variables... just looking examples, thoughts ideas... who knows... this could become an Add-On :-)
