new rc conflict?

I just installed the new RC on my C5 site. I thought my Scrapbook Tabs block was no longer functioning, but after playing around, it seems to work fine if I'm logged out, but as soon as I sign in, it doesn't work. I left a support question on the block's site, but what would be different between being logged in and not logged in?
