Newbie question - where to start replacing default WYSIWYG editor

Hello, sorry if I've missed this in the forum search or docs, but can anyone point me to where to start looking for the code that controls textarea replacement with TinyMCE? I want to replace completely with a different WYSIWYG editor. I just need a nudge as to which files to start looking in, and/or what nomenclature to search for in the docs (blocks, packages, controllers, etc...?). Thanks!
