opinions re: e-commerce add-on

Hi everybody,
Do you think Concrete5 and the e-Commerce add-on are robust enough to handle a 600 item product catalog/shopping cart?

Merchant acct gateway is Authorize.net and client wants to add PayPal as 2nd payment option.

Thanks for your input.

Sure, Paypal and several other Payment gateways are available for download, FedEx and IceWay Payments are currently under development and are going to be released until they successfully run through the quality management. Paypal is built in and here you see howto use it:

Here's a list of addons that are made to add additional functionality to the eCommerce addon.http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons?sort=popular&search...

If you're not sure if you want to buy it or not, I would recommend you to try it out freely here.http://ecommerce.concrete5.org/...

I don't own the eCommerce addon, but I tested it a bit and I'm sure that 600 or 60000 products isn't a problem. I think a little customization of the default block templates would make it fit to your needs.

And some guys even made eCommerce Themes...

Build you your own opinion.

Cheers

Nancy - I think the eCommerce add-on would definitely be suited to this. We think it holds up reasonably well into the thousands of products section. There's currently no product categorization on the backend, so if you require that you might have trouble. Since products can be grouped and listed on the front-end of the site in any way (since it's a concrete5 site) you'll have lots of flexibility with how you display them to the public.
