OptimumSize for Website Header

Hi. I am new to using concrete5. I am going to get someone to design a professional header for my site. I would like it to run right across the top of the site.

What is the correct size for this? I am going to build using the Indulgence theme, if that makes any difference.

Thanks for any advice you can give me.

There isn't really an optimum size - because there is no 'standard' screen size anymore. Just looked at the Indulgence theme, and it is a responsive template, so you will need a header that resizes/adjusts according to the browser width. It won't be a static size. Hope that makes sense!

... If you were building a non-responsive site - targeting primarily desktop browsers - then traditionally a good maximum width to make your header/site is 960px.
