Output Blog Posts as Layout

Is there a way I can output the text of blog posts as rows in a layout on my parent Blog page?

You could use the RSS Feed and use an rss feed reader.

You should be able to do what you want by creating a new view template for the Page List that outputs the blog summary. In the documentation and howtos you would need to read up on "overrides" and "block templates".

There are plenty of alternate Page List block templates in the marketplace, many free. Some of them may also give you some ideas or even a starting point for making your own.
