Is there a way to override and extend the core editing functionality via a plugin?
For example, I could save a bunch of time if I don't need to confirm deleting a block each time I do so. Is it possible to make a plugin that makes it so I no longer need to confirm deleting a block, but the block is just immediately deleted after clicking delete the first time?

Here you go, install the package and you'll get a "Quick Delete" option when you click a block in edit mode.

The quick delete feature in your add-on is fantastic. Having to click twice every time drives me crazy. Thanks so much.
Happy to hear it's useful. I don't know if you noticed, I updated it with a new feature to make presets out of the blocks custom styling and apply it to other blocks.
