Page after registration

This is probably a really basic question....but I'm a beginner. So, I am creating a website that has the dual ability for public pages and then a page for registered members only. I have a log in add on, and the register button is up and running. But after members have registered and logged on...where does it take them? And how do I edit that page?...How do I even get to that page? Thanks!

Although you may not need all of that functionality. You could also use mnakalays example to set the page after login to a custom page that has some custom code to check for certain user groups and/or user group combinations and send users to those destinations.

Okay, so I have tried setting the login destination to the page I want, but when I tested it, it didn't work.
I also downloaded an add-on but I don't know how to install it on the page? It is specifically for redirecting pages...
Help!

which add-on have you installed?
There's a setting for that in the dashboard System & settings part, under Login & Registration, click on Login Destination. There you can set it to your liking.
