page attributes in autonav

Hi all, I'm hoping this is a simple one but I was hoping someone might be able to help me get page attributes working in a custom autonav template.

I am trying to add page thumbnail attribute and descriptions.

Why dont you just use a PageList for that purpose? There are ready templates and forum posts on how to display all that in a Page List.

That would actually be my preference as my pagelist template already has all that working however what the pagelist block doesnt seem to have is the ability to show subpages directly below parent pages with their own specific hierachi styling for example:

Home
--Second level
--Second level
----Third level
----Third level
--Second level

Ok, this is beyond my knowledge :)

Have you found this:

Jordan writes about calling page attributes for each item in the nav, maybe this will be a starting point for your project.

And you might look at the Uber List add-on of John the Fish, you can very easily build your own markup with it and it supports any kind of attributes and all the magic in the universe :) The MagicDate-Suite from John saved me lots of customzation time because it can do so much.

You could try hacking the autonav PHP and try to insert that parts of the PageList Block that calls the thumbnail attributes, but I havent tried that before.

Good luck!
