Page Defaults not saving/displaying

Permalink 2 users found helpful
Hi there,

I'm fairly new to setting up c5, but I think I'm getting hte hang of it. I've taken a theme and customized it, creating just a "full.php", and really only having "full width" pages.

The nav works fine, but I'd like to create a sub-nav, so if a page has sub-pages, it's displayed in a sidebar, header, or wherever.

I'm finding that I can edit the page type defaults, but they never seem to appear. I've tried it with a nav item, as well as simple "content" block in the footer section.

When I return to editing the defaults screen, I see the block.

It just never seems to get "published", even though I am publishing my changes.

Hopefully I made enough sense for someone to help!

Thanks
Matt

When you're editing your defaults, click on the block you'd like to show up on your 'already created' pages, then click Setup on Child Pages.

You'll be able to select which pages it should show up on. Also, going forward, any new pages will automagically show the block.
