Page List by Sitemap Order - Any way to honor the tree?

Hey all - Anyone know if it's possible? It's driving me bananas.
There isn't a nice way to do this with one Page List, you'd have to get the top level pages, then loop over those and get their children, etc. You can see how to do this if you look in the autonav controller.
Thanks - Such a weird thing. You'd think it would've done that to begin with if they're going to call it Sitemap Order.
