Page Names

Hi All
I am working on a site that has a page called What We Do, during the process of the build I deleted this page for various reason and thought I would come back to it later and rebuild it.
Now I have come to rebuild it I am getting an odd behaviour on the page name, it keeps getting a 1 added to it so it looks like /what-we-do1.
This is only appearing in the page properties not in the Nav but it is bugging the hell out of me.
I have deleted the page and tried again with the same result, I have dumped the cache several times and I have renamed the page via Page Paths and Locations but each time I save the change and go back into the page it is back to /what-we-do1
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions that may help?

Your old page is not residing in your trash folder by any chance?
