Page type not linked to php file

Hi!
I'm currently working on a new page type, two columns. (see screenshot).
Problem: when i change the design of my page in concrete5 to the new layout, nothing changes. I created a new page layout and gave it the same handle as the name of the php file.
Why is this not working?

Why is this not working?
After you made the design switch, did you clear the C5 cache as well as your browser cache?
After checking again today the page type worked. So i guess it has to do with the cache.
=> clearing the cache would have fixed this. Thanks!
