Page Workflow
Permalink
Hi All - Simple question (hopefully)...
Does anyone know if there are any tutorials/how-tos/examples of custom page workflow?
At the simplest form, I need to have an editor group and an approver group.
Editors edit, submit change (without going live). Approvers get an email, login and approve the changes (page is then live).
I've been using advanced permissions but it doesnt seem to work how I thought it would! (ignoring the email part)
Any help would be gratefully received!
Cheers

Thanks, that sounds promising...
Do you know where I can see a list of features in development / roadmap and potential release dates/targets?

There is some kind of roadmap that was added mainly because of the request from 3rdparty developers:
http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/background/version_history/r...
However, Franz does not want to "promise" anything regarding to that, so it's mainly just a list of "these we're planning to do next or are already doing on some level".
No target dates either, because of the same reason. 5.5.3 is announced to be released "later this year".
From the version history you can probably get the sense of the release cycle time. However, you should note that 4-number version releases are mainly bugfix realeases, so don't make any conclusions of the dates between 5.5.2 and 5.5.2.1 because that was just mainly for bugfixes.
Here you can see some dates of the old releases:

Enterprise-level workflow add-on is in the works. My employer is the originating client. We're getting our goods mid to late summer. I have no idea when it'll hit the marketplace.
/a/ originating client.
There is a list of people financing this one, one of them a large organization with a passion for women's rights that we all know of.... But yes, it's coming together and we plan on having it being used in weeks, and available generally within months.
That being said, here's some screenshots attached. We actually talked about it a bit at the start of this week's totally random:

Thanks for the feedback... Ill keep my eyes open for the add-on release (would be more than happy to beta test if the opportunity came up)

Hi All - Just wondered if there was any progress on this? We are just about to implement a large installation that will certainly require some of these nice new functions!
Thanks!
Thanks!
yup. we show more of it off a week or two later.
should be available in some capacity in the coming weeks.

Excellent news!:)
Do you think it will be released as an add-on in the market place, released for invite only testing or available as a preview somehow? I'd certainly be interested to have a look in any capacity!
We are just in the process of implementing an enterprise scale project and I know the business sponsors and users will be very interested in the additional functionality as its been highlighted as a core requirement.....

I also know that the core team has been banging their keyboards from the beginning of this year (again, I believe, this is not 100% verified information) to create an enterprise-level add-on to handle the workflow structures. The part that is not verified here is the time they've spent doing that but I can confirm that Franz has said that they are working on that.
EDIT: And by the way if you want you can check out the early 5.5.3 version here:https://github.com/concrete5/concrete5/tree/5.5.3-devel... but by no means that is production ready!
