Pages un-indexed

I ran an index on a site i was developing. it said 23 pages were indexed. today after running an index of the same site it said 2 pages were indexed. I have not deleted an pages, i have added one however and changed the access to registered members only.
Any suggestions for what could have happened anyone?

It probably just indexed 2 new (or edited) files while the other files were untouched and/or indexed before?
i was hoping that was the reason, but i did a search for the term blog b4 the indexing and i found 3 results. running it after, i ended up with no results. i was hoping it was jus the new pages that were indexed like you said but it unfortunately wasnt.
I had to do a server rollback, for a different reason, but its back at the point of 23 pages and im able to search.

I think it is because you change it to registered members only. I could not get search to work when I had the site set to registered users only. I was also getting 2 pages indexed.
Once I changed the site security to public and ran an index, it said 17 pages indexed. Then search worked.
I set the site back to registered users only and ran an index again, then it showed 2 pages indexed.
Looks like index only works on public site. Hopefully somebody has a fix to get index to work on registered users setting.
