Panicing, My sites shut down!!!

I installed c5 on two different databases for two different sites with two different domains (pginterns.com & pipelinegeneration.com). They were working great, the clients were loving them. Now when you go to the urls it gives you this message:

Unable to connect to database.
A database error occurred while processing this request.

I also installed wordpress for each domain and that was working great too. Now that does not work either and will not connect to the database.

The only thing I can think of is that I installed wordpress on a separate database for another domain (acachurch.com/blog) on the same server last night. Would this have anything to do with it?? Any help is GREATLY apreciated!!! Thank you!!

Sounds like your database server went away... Have to tried to verify that it's running?

If you're running the site in a hosting environment, check the error_log file in the directory where you have the installation.
Otherwise, check /var/log/ for your apache or system logs.
Make sure the databases are there, user/password are correct .. etc.
All these should give you a better view on what's going on.

Thanks for your responses! Something went wrong when I installed wordpress on a certain database. I uninstalled it and then re-installed on a different db and it fixed the problem. Who knows why...
