photos not fitting

this is my first day on this platform, so please bear with me. I am trying to create a photo gallery. I works in edit mode, but when I go live the photos cover the menu. I have attached screen shots.
Right Click on the image block and choose Design...then Spacing. In the box labeled Top under Padding...try putting in 10 and see if that fixes the issue.
You need to "resize" your pictures. Any photo editing software will do this, start by shrinking it about 75% or so and see how it goes.
And while you're at it, compress the image size to less than 100Kb.
It will still look great on a website.

I agree with that as well...you do need to check and see what the height is of your images and the slideshow capability and make sure the pictures aren't too big.
I have a photography site I had to customize the theme for the slideshow to work because the pics were too big...covering up the menu...and taking to long to load.
