Hi
Been working on a new C5 site for a club, all working fine until today.
I try and log into the dashboard but at the bottom of the page i get these messages and have no idea whats wrong:

"Warning: Unknown: write failed: No space left on device (28) in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/tmp) in Unknown on line 0"

The url ishttp://www.hailshamrotary.org.uk if you need to see it for yourselves.

I would really appreciate any help i can get as i've never come across this before, can someone pleeeeaaassseee help me?

Many thanks for your time

but you did, what the message said, check the space on your disk, didn't you?

there's either a configuration problem with your session path, but since it worked fine I would guess it is exactly what the messages tells you - no space left!

delete some files? add another drive?

Sorry, not sure if I understand correctly and even more oddly I have just checked again and the error has gone???? I can now log in etc. The site is hosted with fasthosts with plenty of hosting space, database space and the install is practically brand new with minor text alterations so I think it might have been a "blip" in the system.
Thanks for your super fast help though, really appreciated and I must add that the support and knowledge in the C5 community is second to none.

it looks like your provider uses a temp directory for all the customers. Since a directory can only contain a limited number of files it is possible that the server hit that limit.

but that's a bit unlikely since php has a setting you can use to create sub directories within the session temp to avoid that problem. But it's the only theorey I've got right now...

a problem/question that probably only your hosting partner can answer!
