Potentially Migrating a Portfolio site to C5

I've got a portfolio site I currently set uphttp://www.cartocopia.com and am considering migrating to C5.

It looks like the main things I want to do are handled out of the box (image slider on main page, contact form, and some types of gallery).

Looking for suggestions how I can have my gallery portfolio page link to pages detailing individual projects as my current page does:http://www.cartocopia.com/portfolio/...

I'm looking for solutions that gracefully handle lack of javasctipt, and mobile devices.

Lastly, I currently have a client page I wrote that lets me upload files for a client, and allows them to log in and view the list of (only their) files and download the files. Is there a script available (or built in) to do such a thing? I want to be able to upload files that only logged in clients can see and download, and are stored outside the public_html space (or in an .htaccess denied folder) and get served (and tracked) by the script.

Thanks for any suggestions....

Hi Rob,

All the things you require are do-able with C5.

Linking to detail pages are just normal links, either with text or an image or both.

Lack of javascript will depend on how much you rely on it. Responsive themes cover mobiles.

Client areas are also easy to implement, you wouldn't necessarily need to place files outside of the file manager.

Hope that helps to sway the verdict.

Any pointers to implementing something like this? I've been reading through the documentation and can not locate how this might be implemented....

It is a bit old but should give you an insight into the workings.

Thanks - that video was a pretty good overview of how to set up a private client area.

Hi, we have some themes in the marketplace which might interest you, our elegancia range are all portfolio enabled, and have similar formatting to your existing site.

Might take some hassle out of the equation for you :)
