Pretty URLs for non-latin characters?

This has been going on for a while so I figured I should post about it.
My native language is Bulgarian. We use cyrillic characters which don't seem to be supported by C5.
When I enter a cyrillic word as an URL slug, C5 doesn't save it and the page is still getting referred to by ID.
This doesn't seem to depend on my server configuration, I've been using C5 on a lot of servers lately.
