Prevent Site Name from appearing as text on website.

Permalink 3 users found helpful
Hi I'm new to this whole website building thing, but I've been getting around. Well in Sitewide Settings, I noticed that my Site Name appears on the website itself, but I don't want it to. So what can I do to make that not show up on my site.

Go into your global scrapbook and edit it there. You can just delete it or replace the existing text with your logo. Concrete5 will always keep any content in that area as a link to the homepage.

Check out step by step instructions by Franz here -

Hope that helps.

You need to create a block in your "Global" Scrapbook.

Called:

My_Site_Name

Hope that helps.

Go into Dashboard>> Scrapbook>> Global Scrapbook>> Edit>> You should now see a text box with your site name. Just delete the site name.

It's not a block as such that you can edit on-page like other blocks. It is only accessible through Dashboard>> Scrapbook>> Global Scrapbook>> Edit>>...

You usually have to add the block. Just rename it to: My_Site_Name

So i add it then delete it???

Nope.

What you do is add it then leave it blank so it uses the blank content block instead of using the Sitewide Settings Name.

oh okay that makes sense now.

so what type of block should I add?

When I click on scrapbook, I see my "Personal Scrapbook" and "Global". The options next to global are "View", "Rename" and "Delete". But When I click on "Global" itself the only options I get are "Add Block to Scrapbook" and "Return to Scrapbook Editing"

Well when your in your "Global" Scrapbook you simple add a new block. Choose the content block.

Then once you've added it, there will be a generated name.

From there you simple click rename and call it "My_Site_Name".

Now your done....
